Liz Scrine produces hand-built ceramic pieces, ranging from large coil pots to architectural light boxes to flat pieces that go on the wall. Characterised by richly coloured slips and glazes and a love of ancient architecture, the work conveys a sense of discovery – of having been unearthed after being buried for centuries.
Liz spends most of her time working on commissions, but when she has nothing else on she works on her own ideas. An ongoing interest in glaze testing and experimenting with different techniques has resulted in hundreds of little samples of different colours and textures. These are her resource library, and worth taking a look at if you are thinking of commissioning something.
If you’d like to get in touch please do, she is always looking for new work and new commissions. Or you can join the mailing list to be informed of exhibitions.
